Drums That Stand Out In The Music

Yamaha is dedicated to delivering the expressive power of our acoustic drum lineup into the full range of DTX Series electronic drum sets.
Voices in the DTX-PRO consist of meticulously recorded sounds captured in world-renowned studios with the support of renowned recording engineers.
The sounds of each kit, including the iconic Recording Custom, have been captured and tuned to stand out not only when playing electronic drums solo, but also when played with a band or mixed with songs.
Drummers may easily harness the full potential of the DTX-PRO module thanks to the KIT MODIFIER, which consists of three knobs: AMBIENCE, COMP, and EFFECT. These controls condense years of Yamaha know-how and experience into a powerful, yet simple tool kit.
With firmware V2.00, the EFFECT knob may also be used to adjust and blend realistic resonances and noises, such as shell resonances and snare wire sounds, via the bleed function.

A Feeling Similar To Acoustic Drums

Yamaha focuses on a playing feel similar to that of acoustic drums - especially when it comes to the snare drum and ride cymbal - two highly versatile parts of the kit. The newly developed 12" diameter, 3-Piezo mesh snare pad and 15" ride cymbal pad are included standard. The snare and tom pads use the same hoops and tunable lugs as acoustic drums for a realistic playing experience.
The included Yamaha hi-hat stand, which is known for its quality and functionality for use with acoustic drums, works perfectly with the electronic hi-hat pad - allowing you to enjoy the same set up as your acoustic drums.
All cymbal pads in the DTX6K5-M are three-zone, which corresponds to different edge, bow and cup sounds. They can also be choked or muted by grabbing the edge of the pad. The ride cymbal offers positional sensing, altering its sound based on where it's struck. Enabled by the DTX-PRO module’s high-definition sampling, it accurately reproduces delicate cymbal play.

Training Tools That Keep You Engaged

The DTX series offers 10 training functions unique to electronic drums to help you improve efficiently and enjoy the journey.
Develop an accurate sense of rhythm with ‘Measure Break’, allowing you to mute the metronome for a set number of measures, and ‘Rhythm Gate’, which will not pronounce a note if the rhythm you hit does not match the metronome.
These training functions will help you develop your technique, accuracy and personal style.
The DTX Drum Score/Instructional Collection, available online, includes sheet music for over 30 songs built into the DTX-PRO. The built-in songs support tempo changes and drum sound muting, and the variety of recorded music allows you to learn phrases from a wide variety of genres. The built-in songs can also be used in combination with training functions such as ‘Rhythm Gate’, where notes are not pronounced unless the rhythm you strike matches the metronome. Train your sense of rhythm as if you were enjoying a game.

Industry-Trusted Hardware For Stress-Free Performance

No one enjoys playing a kit with loose and unstable hardware. The DTX Series features renowned Yamaha System Hardware that provides drummers the peace of mind to know that each drum and cymbal pad will stay precisely where they are set.
The DTX6K5-M includes the Yamaha HS650A hi-hat stand and traditional ball clamps for snare pads, making fine-tuned adjustments easy.
The left portion of the rack is left open, providing ample room for the hi-hat stand and an optional double bass pedal.
