Legacy 4K Analogue Enhancement Circuit

SSL 4000?series consoles (often called “4K”) are known for adding a distinctive mojo to sounds and instruments that pass through them. This character comes from multiple stages of harmonic distortion created by components such as compressor VCAs, VCA faders, and transistor mix amps. Using modern components, SSL has distilled the two key elements of the 4K sound into a single circuit.

Ins and Outs

On the rear panel, the SSL 1 features a Neutrik XLR mic input, a switchable INST/LINE input, two balanced outputs, and x2 USB?C connectors for USB audio and 5V external power supplies or power banks.

On the front panel, a conveniently placed headphone jack offers easy access for monitoring.
